Just a short post this week, as it’s the middle of the silly season and we have a houseful, including new visitors to Pembrokeshire. Which of course means we’ve been doing our usual whirlwind tour of the county, to show off some of the best bits.
Yesterday we ventured up to the north of the county, to Solva and to St David’s. We didn’t have much time in the cathedral, as night was falling and the Christmas Eve Service was about to start, but our guests enjoyed the quiet ambience of the beautiful, purple-hued building nestling in its green vale.
It seems that we weren’t the only ones who’d made a special trip to St David’s on Christmas Eve – we hear that Sir Anthony Hopkins and his wife Stella had renewed their commitment to one another with a private blessing earlier that day. We may have missed themin person (for which I’m sure they’re eternally grateful) but we still sent our belated best wishes.
